WEDDING

The marriage "was celebrated recently at the. Bascilica of 'the Sacred Heart, Hill street, by the iEoy. Father Smith, S.M., with Nuptial' Mass, of Mary, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Irvine, lato of "West Calder, Scotland, now of Guilford terrace, Wellington, to James Jeramiah, eldest aon of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson, Goring street, Wellington. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming frock of ivory georgette and la.cc, over which she. wore the bine cloak of the Children of Mary Society.- Her embroidered tulle veil (lent by her sister, Mrs. Helen Vile, Tokornaru) was worn well back on the hoad, and caught at both sides with clusters of orange blossom. She carried an ivory prayer book (the gift of the bridegroom). The small sister of the bride, Miss Thora Irvine, was chief bridesmaid, dreased in Highland costume, and carrying an ivory prayer book (also the gift of the'bridegroom). The other bridesmaids', Misses Norah Wilson (sister of'the bridegroom) and Margaret Irvine (sister of the bride) wore ankle length frocks with coatees of Eroderie Anglaise: i^ pale green and pale blue v respectively, with picture hats to tone. Both carried .bouquets of pink roses. A small brother of the bride, Master Bernard Irvine, was a page, dressed in a long white satin suit. Mr; Bert Wilson was best man, and Mr. Mathew Wilson groomsman. Miss Putnam played the Wedding March. The wedding breakfast was held at the home'of the bride's parents, where the decorations were carried out in blue and white, with masses of summer flowers. The altar boys, who served the Weddinc Mass, were Masters Gerald and Augustine Irvino (brothers of the bride), and Master Frank Wilson (brother of the bridegroom).
