Mrs. Forbes, who has been spending Christmas at Choviot, returned to Wellington with the Prime Minister yesterday morning. Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Seddon, Wadestown, who has been visiting Mrs. Herbert x\eton-Adams, North Canterbury, returned to Wellington yesterday morning. Dr. and Mrs. Eric Merchant, Lower Hutt, and their family have returned home after a -visit to Mrs. G. E. Gordon, Hawkes Baj. Miss Phyllis Francis, who ,'has been the guest of. Mrs. W. v E. Herbert, at Heretaunga, has returned to Christchurch. Miss Sheila MacGregor, Napier, is the guest of Mrs. Harold Johnston, Hobson street. Miss Maisie White will leave "Wellington to-morrow for a visit to Hastings >and Gisborne. Mrs. J. Lucas and Miss M. Miss Nancy Gardner, Christchureh, who has been visiting Miss Irene Cracrof t Wilson, King Country, will Teturn home this -week. Wellington Visitors'to Wanaka Hotel, Pembroke, recently included Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Heffer, Mrs. A. Cook, and Mr. R. A. Marshall. Mrs. A. K. Firth and Miss Nora Firth, Christchurch, aruved in Welling ton .-yesterday, and left by. the Makura for Sydney, Mis? Winter, who has been in Wellington for the past year, will return to her home in Wairoa, on Saturday. ■Miss Herald (Sydney) and Miss Marjorie Heughan (Auckland) are the guests of Mrs. Robertson (Golcie's* Brae). Miss Esma North, who is returning from a tour abroad, will spend a few days in Sydney with her mother, Mrs, Stanley Jeffries, before returning to her home at Silverstream. She will return by the Ulimaroa next week. Mrs. R. A. Douglas (Sydney), Mrs. Hatrick (Wanganui), Mrs. Septimus Miller (Melbourne),-Mrs. Cosgrave, Mrs. Schischka. (Auckland), and Miss J. A. The bride wore a gown of deep ivory georgette trimmed on the bodice with gold beads, a tulle veil, and a train, of old Brussels lace arranged in a diamond shape from, the waist, dne corner being caught in the belt.
