.-There-has been no change in local quotations for oats, but supplies are. scarce and merchants .are experiencing great difficulty jn' securing 'their further requirements ftora the-"South; where dry conditions have restrictc the new; harvest. Chaff prices -have' advanced" in consequence. Stocks of barley are getting into small compass, and they will not be"replenished until ay fresh shipment arrives from Adelaide about - the ;end of the' month. The market far- pollard: and bran< is unchanged. : ;-Full..supplies.'of potatoes are now coming in. from,, the rural districts around Auckland City, and: local merchants find they can obtain -their supplies from these sources.to?better advantage than by calling on Fnkekohe, which used to enjoy almost a monopoly at.this time of the year. Victorian- ouious are now being supplemented by supplies. oE locally-grown, anrLyalues have corns down substantially.
