Senior: Sergeant^Dirinie, .of: the Criminal Registration: Branch- took the. deceased's finger-prints, and'from"them was able-to; ascertain:his'name. Evidence at an inquest to-day before the Coroner, Mr. T.IB. McNeil, -S.Miy showed that the deceased, who was in receipt of a soldier's pension, had been an. inmate of a mental home, and since Ms discharge had been "suffering; pain's in the ,hbad and sleeplessness. Ho had been in the habit'"of sleeping in.the hills, and had discussed the question' of committing /suicide.: It was" also stated that McLeod had £25 to his credit iii the Post Office Savings Bank.:" ■ ?
