FINALS AT TIMARU

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, 11th January. The South Tsland croquet tournament concluded to-day. The women's singles was won by Mrs. Corbet (Dunedin). MeCreath (Gore) won the handicap singles; Mrs. Corbet was runner-up. Mrs. Corbet and Mrs. Mac Donald won the handicap doubles. Details of the finals are as follows:— Women's singles championship.—Mrs. Corbet'defeated Miss Bremner, 20-20. Handicap Doubles.—Mrs, Corbet and Mrs. Mac Donald beat Mi's. Shiels and Miss Bremner, 26-16. Consolation Handicap.—Mrs. Wilson beat Mrs. Anderson, 26-22. • Handicap Singles.—MeCreath (Gore) defeated Mi-s. Corbet (Dunedin), 26-12.
