THE FLOATING DOCK

SECURE ,AT BERTH

Despite the strong northerly wind which blew during New Year's Eve and yesterday, the Jubilee Floating Dock remained secure at-its berth at Aotea Quay. At times the wind reached gale force, but even during the worst gusts, some of which exceeded 50 miles an hour, the dock did not move or givo the Harbour Board officials any anxiety.. . .

The dock was the centre of attraction on the wharves to-day, and it was visited by many hundreds of people. Its two escorts over 13,500 miles of ocean also claimed a good deal of attention.
