FAIRFAX'S CONTRACT
BOARD TO BE DEFIED
SYDNEY, 31st December. The Australian Board of Control has refused to release Fairfax from his contract, which forbids his playing for the English team for two years. Fairfax intends to defy the board, and is prepared to take the consequences. He is arranging to sail shortly to play for Aecrington.
