CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE
REVIVAL IMMINENT

DELHI, Ist January. A revival of civil disobedience throughout India is imminent. -
The Viceroy has informed Mr. Gandhi that . while lie is willing ■to meet the 'Congress leader to discuss constitutional matters arising out of tho Round Table Conference, ■he will in no circumstances discuss the recent Ordinances promulgated to maintain law and order and for the protection of the', vast .of citizens.
The. Congress executivo ■ committee met and'lengthily resolved that unless a favourable reply is received from the Viceroy, Congress would call on the nation to restart disobedience and nonviolent picketing to prevent th'o. sale of British goods, especially cloth, also, the manufacture of salt, on lines similar to the previous campaign. Addressing crowds at Bombay, Mr. Gandhi indicated.that he oxpected soon to bo arrested.
Congress makes its final decision regarding disobedience to-day.
