Sir,—The storm, water from : part of Brooklyn is led down Happy Valley road and meanders along, gradually growing into a stream, owing to beiao: fed by tha springs and- hill rivulets. • As this stream passes through three farms, where cowa are kept) would it not be wise to- have this stream fenced? • "The Stone's Friend" draws attention t& the recent removal of a carved stone which, has stood for years on the headland past Karehana. Bay, Plimmerton. < It bears tha inscription: "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord." . .This has been chiselled by hand withinfinite pains. JJe. cently the stone was taken and used by a man in building a culvert. It has how been restored to its former place.
