MR. TYRONE POWER
NEW. YORK, 31st December. Mr. Tyrone Power,' the actor,- died auddenly at the Hollywood Athletic Club on Wednesday. He retired last night apparently in excellent health. He rose early, and complained to his eon that he was suffering 'intense pain. It is believed that heart disease was the cause of death.
Tyrone Power was 62 years of age, and his name has been connected with a host of well-known playg, for he has appeared in such different productions as "The Private Secretary," "The Magistrate," and "The Tempest." He played in many Shakespearian productions, appeared with Beerbohm Tree, and after an American tour joined Mrs. Fiske's company, performing in "Becky Sharp" and "Little Italy." In 1900-02 he toured Australia with Edith Crane, and later played first with Sir Henry Irving and then with Julia Marlowe. Well-known plays in which he has appeared in the later years of a vigorous career were "Chu Chin Chow," in which he had the role of Abu Hassan, "The-Servant in the House," and "Diplomacy," besides a number of Shakespearian plays.
