INVERCARGILL GALLOPS

INVERCARGILL, This Day. Some interesting work was done at Invercargill tracks- this morning, when the final gallops for tho Southland Meeting took place on the courso proper, tho flags being out about forty feet from the rails. Tho going was first class, and several smart gallops wero recorded. . The Cup candidate, Bed Sea, performed excellently. Dulon finished better than Colonel Cygnus over half a mile in 50 4-ssec. Bed Sea beat Cough over seven furlongs in lmin 31sec. Tho former has been working impressively. Trek finished better than Jack a'Bandy and Somo Queen over half a milo in oOscc. Trek did her work well. King Balboa ran five furlongs in lmin 5 2-ssce. Night Rose did seven furlongs in lmin 36 3-ssee. Red Sunset ran the best half milo of tho morning, going 49 4-ssec. Fair Weather pleased botter than Consono-over six furlongs in lmin 18 l-ssoe, a good gallop. Royal Sceptre ran half a mile easily' in 53 l-ssoc. Tho best effort over five furlongs was Tippling's lmin 2 3-usoc, a brilliant! gallop. i Grcenaway beat Glonham Lark in 50soo. Euling Light and Irish Chief-1 taiu ran three furlongs in 40sec. i On the plough Water Power rpn a mile nicely in lrnin 49 4-ssec, the last half-milo in ?2sec. Royal Limond did a strong round and looks fit.
