LOSS TO JOHANNESBURG

PRICELESS DOCUMENTS GONE

CAPE TOWN, 24th December. The main -block of the Johannes, burg University was destroyed, by fire early this morning. 'The library included the Gnbbins collection of priceless historical documents and 25,000 books'. This was the first portion burned out. Only the wings arc left. The damago to the buildings is estimated at £100,000.
