AERO CLUB'S ACTIVITIES
During October, 123 hours 13 minutes were flown at the Kongotai Aerodrome— 17 trainees undergoing training. Special flights for the month were carried out as follows: —Eight to Blenheim, five to Palmorslon North, four to Martinborough, and one each to Danuevirke, Masterton, and Auckland. Mr. Eric Lloyd also qualified to carry passengers. During the month negotiations were completed for the purchase of the Avro Avian ZK-AAN on a partial exchange basis for the club's Spartan ABL. AAN, in future, will be known at the "Evening Post" Gift Plane. November was a particularly unfortunate month for the club * far as weather was concerned, only 83 hours 35. minutes' flying having been done, flying being possible on only 19 days. The number of trainees receiving instruction were as follows:—Dual 10, bolo 6. During the month four trainees qualified for their A ticket: Messrs. E. J. Scotland, K. E. Tolhurst, D. Stevens, and J. D. Nelson. Special flights for the month were as follows: One each to Nelson, Martinborough, and Palmcrslon North, and six to Blenheim.
