PIANOFORTE RECITAL

The invitation pianoforte recital given in Wellington recently by Miss Fraucia Revere, A.T.C.L., L.T.C.L., F.T.C.L., and L.A.8., of Feikling, who. is a pupil of Miss Imelcla Kama, aroused the admiration of her audience. Miss Revere, who is still in her 'teens, has received the highest academic honours in her art, demonstrating unusual musical talent. Miss Revere is the product of the modern school of pianists. Included in the programme was Balakirew's brilliant Islamey Fantaisic, a work seldom if ever heard previously in Wellington. Bach's Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue, Chopin's Sonata in B Flat Minor, Glasounow's Theme et Variations, the Strauss-Schultz Eler's "Blue Danube," Ravers Sonatine, and several other numbers. Miss Reveres performance created a deep impression, and the opinion was expressed that the young player is worthy of a much larger audience.
