AUCKLAND, This Day

Mr. A. A. Boss, provincial president of the Farmers' Union, in a statement, said that Sir James Parr was endea-

rouring to create the impression that Farmers' Union members were in duty bound to support Coalition candidates. This Mr. Ross denied, saying that the Dominion executive, which passed a resolution congratulating Mr. Coates and Mr. Forbes upon their unity, claimed no right to bind members of the onion.

Replying to Mr. Boss, Sir James Parr said it was clear that the Farmers' Uuion gave full support to the Coalition Government, and it was also clear that Country Party candidates are disobeying the decision of their own union. Only in Auckland Province was Dhere this rebellion.
