HINKLER IN BRAZIL
DETENTION EXPLAINED
UNDELIVERED TELEGRAM
SAO PAULO (Brazil), 19th Nov. Despite the efforts of 'the "British Consul at Fortaleza, the authorities in Ccara State continue 1o hold the airman, Bert Hinkler, and his 'plane.
The present explanation of his arrest is that a telegram from Belem officials to those at Ceara introducing Hinkler and asking the courtesy, of the State airfields for him was not delivered.
The British Ambassador has taken up fie case and will request tho Foreign Office at Bio do Janeiro to permit Hinkler to continue his journey.
