A WRESTLING COMPLAINT
A good deal oi! resentment is felt in Olugo wrestling circles at the action of the Auckland Wrestling Association in stopping in ahead of Otago and matching George AValker and Billy Mccsko for tho British Empire championship on 21st November, after the men had been matched hero on 26th November (writes ."The Post's" Dunedin correspondent). Tho return bout is now to- take place here on the latter date, but disapproval of Auckland's action was expressed by Mr. Harry Divers, secretary of tho Otago Wrestling Association, who said that Auckland had played a ■waiting game so far as Meoske was concerned, and had not worried about matching him until ho lind won a few matches outside. Mr. Divers said that the Dominion Union seemed to be a controlling body merely for the North Island, and its neglect of tho South Island associations was having a disastrous -effect upon the sport. If tho southern associations were given inoro important matches he was satisfied they would draw as well as thoso in tho North Island, and said that it was most imperative that a Dominion match committee should be appointed, with representatives from each island included, the. chairman of the Dominion Uuiou to preside.
