APPEALS DISMISSED

The twelve months'- disqualification imposed upon the jockeys H. K. Goldfinch and F. 11. Foster, of Auckland, is to stand.
The judgment of the appeal judges, Mr. 0. S. Wathins, president of the New Zealand Racing Conference, Mr. W. MA. Duncan, of. Hunterville, and Mr. Edmund Goodbehere, of Feilding, was released to-night as follows: ."In the matter of the appeals by Goldfinch and Foster, the. jockeys, against the decision of the Auckland District Committee in disqualifying them for a period of twelve months from Oth '■ October, 1931, for a breach of Rule 295 (1), and for corrupt and fraudulent practice within the meaning of Rule 352 (1), (N,), of the rules of racing by conspiring to permit and assist the horse Royal Survey to win the •Buckland Hack Handicap, run at the meeting held by the Franklin Racing Club on 7th March, 1031: Having heard and carefully considered the evidence given and placed before, them, the judges see. no reason for dissenting from the decision of the Auckland District Committee in the above cases, and therefore dismiss the appeals lodged by Uuldtinch and Foster."
