The Leader of the Opposition, Sir George Pearce, moved the adjournment of the Senate to discuss the activities of the Communist Party in Australia. He quoted from Communist newspapers and said that every section of the workers was being "white-anted" and there was a carefully-organised ' conspiracy to overthrow the existing state of society in the Commonwealth and to overthrow the Empire. Sir George saidthat the "Workers' Weekly" had published orders issued from.
