BRITAIN'S UNEMPLOYED
(British Official Wireless.)
RUGBY, 18th November. • The latest Labour Ministry returns in Britain show that oh, 9th November there were nearly 54,000 fewer unemployed on the register than a month earlier. This reduction is partly due to the discontinuance of registration by a proportion of those whoso claims to benefit have been disallowed under the now anomalies regulations. The application of "means tests" under the National Economy Act has not yet shown its effect on the returns so far ay aila-ble.
