The principal buyers were Japan and Yorkshire. Greasy merino made up to 19% d per lb. A total of 12,035 bales was offered, 11,185 being sold at auction, in addition to 376 disposed of privately. FRENCH WOOL PRICES RISE. t : ' . (Received 20th November, 10 a.m.) TOURCOING, 19th November. Wool sales held to-day showed a distinct advance in values. Greasy and scoured wools, fine combings, advanced 15 to 20 per cent, and mediums to coarse 10 to 15 per cent above September prices. The whole of the offerings were sold. DULL DAIRY MARKET (Received 20th' November, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, 10th November. The demand for butter ia at its slowest owing io the expectation of heavy arrivals. Danish, 12Ss to 130s per cwt, choicest salted; New Zealand, 110s to 112s; Australian, 105s to 106s, and unsalted 2e to 4s premium. The cheese market is inactive. New Zealand, coloured 64s to 665, white 675; Australian, coloured 63s to 645, white 65s to 665. Private cablegrams from London received to-day show. that the week closed yesterday with a depressed market for butter, ;and a fall of 2s to 4s for finest New Zealand, and the cheese very dull. Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., from Messrs. Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd.:—New Zealand Butter: Nominally, finest 109s to 110s per cwt, first 105s to 106s.
