The flood-lighting scheme for the Wellington AVar Memorial, at the corner of Lambton quay and Bowen street, has now been completed under the supervision of Mr. G. Lauchlan, manager of the Electricity Department. The test carried out throe weeks ago was entirely satisfactory, and a wonderful effect was produced. It is intended, when tho ceremony of dedicating the memorial has been carried out, 1o put Iho flood-lighting into operation every evening until 11 o'clock throughout the year. The architects arc still engaged on the final details of the memorial, and tho date of dedication has not yet been mmonncod.
