LABOUR IN MASTERTON
MR. P. M. BUTLER TO STAND
Advice was received from Masterton to-day that Mr. P. M. Butler, secretary of the ,"Wellington General Labourers' Union, will receive nomination as the official Labour candidate for the Masterton scat. It had been announced previously that there would be no Labour candidate in that electorate. It is unlikely that Labour will put up a candidate for Wairarapa. " The secretary of the New Zealand Labour Party (Mr. W. Nash) repudiates the announcement by Press Association message from Auckland yesterday that Mr. J. H. Edwards has been selected as the official Labour candidate for Franklin. Atr. Nash stated that no Labour selection has been made in that district.
