SPLIT LABOUR VOTE

FUN IN GREY LYNN

(By Telegraph.—Pres^s Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The overwhelmingly hostile but goodtemper ed audience made almost continuous uproar at a meeting addressed by Mr. F. N. Bartram, Independent Labour candidate for Grey Lynn, last night. Hecklers early inquired why Mr Burtram was splitting the Labour vote with Mr. J. A. Lee, the official Labour nominee, but the chairman referred all such questions to Mr. Lee. Mr.- Bartram said he reserved the right ito form his own opinions, and would not subject himself to the irksome tyranny of caucus domination. The heckles s questioned his right to speak for Labour at all, and the meeting terminated when someone moved a vote of no confidence, which was carried, accompanied by cheers for Mr. Lee.
