Lord Elibank will .able a motion in tho House of Lords expressing the opinion that the stress of economic conditions throughout the Empire demands that an Imperial Economic Conference should be held at the earliest^ possible date, and expressing satisfaction that, under tho election mandate, the Government has a free hand to .employ any methods calculated to promote the cause of economic unity in the Empire.
