Shortly before 2 a.m. yesterday the Fire Brigade received a call to a grocery store at 23, Hataitai road, occupied by Cyril Norman Rose and owned by Alexander Shepherd. Part rff the contents at the rear of the promises were damaged by fire and water, and the rest of the contents of the building were damaged by heat and smoke. The fire had a good hold when the brigade arrived, but a good save was effected, the actual building being >onljr slightljr damaged,
