THE BETTY SELECTED
The selection of the Betty as the defender of the Sanders Cup, the contest for which will be held on Wellington Harbour in January, was announced at last evening's meeting of the Wellington Provincial Yacht and Motor-Boat Association. The Sanders Cup, which is the. blue riband of racing among the. Roua class 14ft centreboard yachts of the Dominion, has already been won four times by the Botty, on three occasions for Canterbury. Mr. W. H. Wagstaff is owner of (he Betty, whose performances in winning four of the five trials recently held stamp her as a worthy defender- of the trophy.
