Very fine golf was seen in the semifinal between Miss Ward and Mrs. Stout, their completed cards reading 81 and 82 respectively,.better golf than wais played at the ladies' 'provincial.championships, recently. This game was very closely contested throughout. Mrs. Menzies. who has been three times the champion-of the club, but who had not taken competitive golf seriously again until recently, found , her hands full with Mrs. Blain, a comparatively new player, and won only by a narrow margin. Mrs. Menzies had a hard fight in the final against the provincial champion, Miss Ward. Miss Barton, the junior champion, is playing very promising golf as the result of ample practice and a good deal of time devoted to the study of ber shots. She was 4 up at the turn, and, though Miss Young kept her lead, down on the return, she was" unable to reduce" it enough. At the presentation of prizes by Miss Duncan, the champions were congratulated, and the standard of golf throughout the tournament was favourably commented upon. '
