SPECIAL CLASSES
ANNUAL EXHIBITION
The outstanding success of the special classes for children at Mount Cook, School was demonstrated yesterday aftcrnoou when au exhibition of the year's work was given for parents and friends. An interested audience watched the items given by the children, the most outstanding of which was ...a, play, in; which Bob hi Hood and his merry men wero happily portrayed. Songs and figure marches wero also admirably done. The rapid progress of the work of tho special classes was remarked on byMr. Peter, rraser, who addressed, the gathering and congratulated the teachtrs on the wonderful results shown. He also pointed out that the neat grey ■uniforms worn by the older girls had been made by themselves, a fact which called for many congratulations. Dr. Ada Patersou also spoko appreciatively of the work of the special class teach-; ers, and pointed out the obvious happiness of the little ones. Examples of the children's handwork, including' needlework of all kinds and woodwork toys, were on view, and were offered for sale in order to provide funds for next year's work. There wore many vpry attractive articles, the - wooden animals on wheels exciting much admiration.
