SUM OF £320 COLLECTED

The Wellington Beturned Soldiers' Association reports that the response to the: annual'"Bose Day" appeal was an excellent one, when despite the present depressed economic conditions j £320 was collected. The ladies who assisted on the day did "excellent work, i and in addition to making 16,000 roses for sale spent the whole of the day on the street stands affecting sales. Tho association members wisli to extend their best thanks to the workers, and assures them that tho amount realised will' be expended ia tho direction, of grving assistance to ex-service men who are ia need of help. In addition to the Benevolent Fund of the Wellington B.S.A. benefiting as a result of "Bose Day,'? tho following associations also receive a share from tlie proceeds: The Bed Cross Society, St. John Ambulance,. Wellington South African. Veterans' Association, and the War Graves Section of tho AVomcn's National Beseive.
