DAY'S BAY WATER

Through a confusion between capital value and unimproved value, Mr. D. it. Ho°-gard was credited with an inaccuracy yeaterday. The charge of between £-9 and £30 proposed to Day's Bay for water and drainage by Eastbourne was upon a property of £2000 capital value, as stated, but in obtaining the Kami water rate, for the purposes of comparison, the unimproved value was taken. The comparison between the proposed charge at Day's Bay and the Karovi rate on properties of similar capital value should have been between £20 and about £2, according to the nature of the property, and uot £11 9a 2d as stated.
