RESIDENTIAL NURSERY

EXECUTIVE MEETING

Xho Hon. Dr. W. E. Collins presided at tho monthly executive meeting of the Residential Nursery, Owen street. Much pleasure was expressed by all members at the return of Matron M'Kibbin from her visit overseas. While away she travelled through England, Scotland, Ireland, and on the Continent, seeing everything- of interest in tho time til; her disposal. Tho matron reported that thu health of the children had been good. A vote of sympathy was passed to Mrs. Alf. Gibbons in her recent sad bereavement. The treasurer reported the following donations, for which the committee expressed warmest thanks: Lower Hutt branch, £20 Is; Berhampore, ;Sl2 12s; Kilbirnie, £30; Wades town, £21; Kelburn-Northlands, £4 12s 6d; Oriental Bay, £3 19s; Khandallah, £5; Gisborne, £2 2s; Thames, £3; Levin, £1; Hataitai, £1 Is.

A meeting of the management committee of the nursery was held recently, Mrs. Alf. Gibbons presiding over a good attendance. Mr. Embury and the Misses Bennett and Gentry were specially thanked for their voluntary assistance at the nursery. The various branches gave a. resume of work done. Mrs. Beales and helpers were thanked for their work on "Eose Day." The committee and matron expressed thanks for gifts in kind received from Mesdames Beales, Fanning, Irvine, Misses Bennett, Gee, Hall, Owens, and the Berhampore, Island Bay, and Melroso branches.
