Mr. M. H. Mitehel announces tnat at the request of tho Restoration League he will contest the Invercargil) seat as an Independent candidate. Mr. Mitehel is a solicitor iv practice here, and was prominently connected with the Restoration League in ita efforts to secure a licensing .poll for Invercargill this year. ; It is announced that Mr. James Harge'st will contest the Invercargill seat as a Coalition Reform candidate. At the same time the announcement is made that Mr.- George Agnew, who recently stated his intention to stand as, an Independent Reformer, has withdrawn from the contest.
