CALCUTTA, 17th November. Calcutta is suffering from an epidemic of malignant malaria, as tho result of the advance on tho city of mosquitoes from tho Malay Peninsula. Hundreds of cases have been admitted to hospital in the past week. So serious has the matter become that a deputation of heads of firms waited on the Governor, Sir F. S. Jackson, to urge immediate measures to stem the advance of tho disease, as whole staffs are incapacitated. .
