WAIRAU
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, This Day. Mr. W. J. Girling, Independent candidate for Wairau, in delivering an address to tho electors, announced himself as a straight-out Independent. He made two main points, that Marlborough liad not been treated fairly in regard to the South Island main trunk railway, and othor matters and that a goodly number of Independents in the next Parliament to keop the Government up to the mark would be an excellent thing. The candidate met with a cordial reception,, and was accorded' a vote; of thanks and confidence. ,"
