LARGER WICKET
ADOPTION LOCALLY
For the remainder of the cricket season in Wellington the . larger, stumps, now in use in English county cricket and elsewhere, are to be-used in senior championship matches. A decision tothis effect has been made by the Management Committee of tho Wellington Cricket Association, and arrangements are being made for a set of the larger wickets to bo available for each of the four senior matches commencing next Saturday. This change will be new to most of tho local players, although some who played in representative cricket last'season havo had experience of play under the new order, as havo tho Micmbcrs of'the "New 'Zealand team which went to England this year. The larger stumps will not be used in nintches in other grades.
