The short title of this Bylaw is "The Wellington City Bylaw (Abattoir) Amendment 1931" The object' and purport of the Bylaw are:—l. To fix the charges for use of Abattoir, slaughtering, housing, yarding, and paddoeking of:—(1) Large cattle. (2) Sheep and Lambs. (3) Pigs as under:— s. d. (a) For every head of large cattle. XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at -1-1 a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on1 Tuesday, the 20th October, 1931, the following Resolution was passed:—The Wellington City Council doth hereby resolve in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf to transfer to the Atlantic Union Oil Company, Limited, all that piece of land containing .07 of a perck, being part Section 3, Harbour District, and being part of the lands at Kaiwarra Gorge road vested in the Corporation for the purposes of a septic tank in exchange for the transfer to the Corporation by the said Company for the like purpose? of an area of 1.46 perches, being other part of the said Section 3 as the said pieces of land are more particularly delineated on a plan prepared by J. Wareing, and dated the 10th day of August, 1931. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. >JOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at -^ a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council, held on Tuesday, the 20th October, 1931, the following Resolution was passed:—That the Wellington City Council, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and their respective Amendments, and in pursuance of the Order-in-Council dated the 12th day of October, 1931, gazetted in the "New Zealand Gazette," Number 75, of the 15th. day of October, 1931, at page 2962, and in pursuance and exercise of every other Act and authority in that behalf it enabling doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order as follows:—!. That a Special Loan of One hundred and eighteen thousand eight hundred pounds (£11S,SOO), to be known as "The Wellington City Consolidated Loan Repayment Loan, 1907, Repayment Loan, 1932," be raised by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of providing funds for redeeming the outstanding balance of a Loan of Two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000), maturing on the twenty-ninth day of February, 1932. 2. That the rate of interest on the said Loan be not exceeding Five pounds (£5) per centum per annum, payable half-yearly on the last day of August and the last day of February in each year during the currency of the Loan, being a period of Five (5) years from the last day of February, 1932. 3. That a sinking fund of Two pounds (£2) per centum per annum be established in connection with the said Loan. 4. That the security for the interest, sinking fund, and other charges, and repayment of the said Loan be a special rate of Thirteen one-hundredths of a penny (13-100(1) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington.
