SYDNEY, 16th November. - Despite a lead of 257 on the first innings, the Springboks continued batting in dreary fashion. Light rain fell' all morning, handicapping'the bowlers and fieldsmen, but the batsmen were very slow, 100 runs occupying 133 .minutes. Curnow's 50 took ten minutes longor, but Cameron used the long handle when a lead of 400 had been established, and hit two delightful sixers. The South African captain lost his wicket when attempting another big hit. Eain is now falling steadily, and play ceased at 3.45 p.m., stumps being drawn at 5.20 p.m. Details:— - NEW SOUTH AVALES.
