THE LAST CHANCE

"GET ON THE ROLL"

THE SUPPLEMENTARY LIST

CLOSES AT 6 P.M. TO-DAY

Voters who have not ensured their enrolment for the forthcoming General Election at 6 o'clock this evening will be liable to the penalty prescribed in the Electoral Act; likewise, they will forfeit their right to vote at the election.

Many qualified electors are realising at the last moment that their names are not 011 the main roll, which closed some weeks ago, "and their opportunity to see that they are added to the supplementary roll will expiro at C p.m. today. This may be done at the office of the District Registrar of Electors in Bowen House, at the corner of Lambton quay and Bowen street, or, in. the case of electors in the Hutt district, at the Magistrate's Court, Petone.

Electors who are not qualified for registration in the district in which they at present reside owing to their not having fulfilled three months' residence, but whose names arc on the roll of another electorate have no cause to feel anxious that they will not have the right to vote at the election. Under tho electoral law they are entitled to vote as absentee voters.

The printing of the supplementaryrolls will be commenced on Monday next, and ,the completed rolls should be available to the public by to-morrow week, or not later than Monday, 23rd November.

The formal issue of writs for the election was made this morning. The writs authorise the returning officers in the various electorates to proceed with the election, and instruct them as -to the final date for the receipt of registrations, for the closing of nominations, and as to polling day procedure. The writs are returnable, together with the election Tesults, within forty days of their issue.

A proclamation dissolving the General Assembly was issued yesterday. Members of the House thus no longer hold their status as representatives of tho people.
