STAYING ANOTHER WEEK
LONDON, 11th November.
In reference to his prediction that the Round Table Conference would fail, Mr. Gandhi, interviewed Inter, expressed the view that, if he believed the conference would fail, he would not stay. "I shall continue to hope," he said, "until there is positive evidence that nothing is to be gained. I shall know that in ' a week."
"The Round Table Conference is bound to fail, and Mr. Ramsay MacDonald's only alternatives are to grant the Indian Congress's full programme or. return to military autocracy," Mr. Gandhi said, in an interview reported yesterday.
