ESPERANTO CLUB.
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club took place last Tuesday night, Mr. E. C. Jack presiding over an enthusiastic attendance. The first portion of the evening was devoted to tuition. The second portion was devoted to a short programme, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Miss P. Normanby presented an entertaining Esperanto reading entitled "La Esperanton-parolanta Kanario!" Mr. W. 11. King, secretary of the New Zealand Esperanto Association, gave a talk in Esperanto on the forthcoming Third New Zealand Esperanto Congress, to take place in Christchurch at Christmas. Mr. Ij. E. Dust gave a lecture in Esperanto on "La Fabrikado de Sonorilo." The concluding item was an address 6n "Kumunikado per Gestp, Parolo, Skribo," which was a history of communication by gesture, speech, and writing.
