At the wool sales, 11,407 bales wen offered, and 11,035 sold at auction; alsc 955 were disposed of privately. The market was without change, prices being firm at the previous day's rates There was very strong competition, par ticularly from Japan and Bradford. Grcasj Merino made up to lSd. A feature during the Victorian sellinj season has been the competition frou America, which, if not on very large lines has been of good help oh suitable wools The Continental demand has also, bcei considerably stronger in connection witl all skirtings and pieces, particularly bel lies. .
