Cameos in Fashion
Cameos will soon be in favour for big brooches, rings and bracelets (states an overseas writer). Other bracelets, similar in style, will be made from an Italian, stone, terra-cotta in colour and rough surfaced, rather like Wedgwood pottery. Figures are raised on these stones in the same way as on the orthodox cameo, but the whole is' in. one shade. While large rings- are still fashionable their size is achieved more by the amount of filigree setting than by the stone itself. Enamel will be much used, and a charming ring, rem«uscent of the 19th century, is of deep blue enamel inset with a basket of flowers formed from tiny diamonds. This design is varied sometimes with the owner's monogram: set in diamonds. Gold and.platinum pendants and «yen lockets and chains will once more see the light.of day after enduring a long eclipse.
