SUCCESS FOR STEALTH

The former New Zealander, Stealth (Night Raid—Bendown), who was considered very unlucky to be narrowly beaten iii.the King's Cup at Perth early in the month, made some amends by winning t\w TattersalPs Club Handicap at tho Belninnt Park (W.A.) Meeting a -week later (17th October). Well nursed by his rider (R. Morley), he got up on the post to score by a_ head from Dawn of Youth. He is now enjoying a short let-up, but will be brought in again in time for the Christmas racing.

Two former New Zealanders were successful in the divisions of the Trial Stakes at the same meeting. John Bradbury (Paper Money—Paphia), who is not the horse of the same name that raced in the South Island a couple of seasons aero, won | the first division at an outside price, and Insurgent (Kilbroney—Tia), also at good figures, won the second division. Hot favourite for the Jumpers' Flat Race was Freezeout (Romeo —Consultation), who formerly ran here in Mr. J. J. Corry's colours, but he failed badly.
