The Bank of New Zealand Produce Department has received the following advice from its London office as at close of business this week: "The reduction in prices of wether mutton has improved the demand. The market for ewes is quiet nnd unchanged. Larger supplies of lambs have caused prices to weaken. Australian and Argentine lambs are nuoted at 5%d to 7%d and 5d to o%d per lb respectively. Large supplies of beef due shortly arc having a weakening effect on the market. Trade generally is affected by heavy supplies from all sources."
