RACES AT FLEMINGTON

(Received 31st October, 2 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The weather is beautifully fine ana bright for to-day's races at Flemiugton. The Derby will be started at 3.40 p.m., the first prize being 4061 soys. Trainer S. Murphy states that Prince Dayton shows little improvement, and unless there is a rapid recovery he will not be running in the Cup on Tuesday. He reappeared this morning for a while and cantered twice round on the tan. It is sta.ted that he shows a slight improvement. Prince Spelthorne, who was a Derby acceptor, died some months ago. M. M'Carten rides Duchess Mendicant in the Maiden Plate, and Ashley Reed rides Glenanton in the Cantala Stakes. Phar Lap was transferred very early this morning to Flemington.
