An army of Canadian flics it speeding} across Canada en route to Australia where they will battle against th* sugar-cane borer on. the Queensland plantations.' The flies, who have an unpronounceable scientific name, have been care* fully reared by tho Canadian Govern* ment, entomologists. They are aworrf enemies of the common white gruH which damages potatoes, vegetables, and small fruits of Canada. It is presumed that their animosity will extend to the Au&traliaa migar* cane borer, which is a close relative of tho Canadian grub.
