Some' good player's went out in the second round of the Miramar ladies' open championship tourney yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Wilson was beaten by Mrs. Biinto, whom she defeated to win the Miramar championship last year; Miss Lowes (Masterton) beat Mrs. Stout, and Miss G. Upham, who did an 84 to beat Miss Bell in the first round, put Miss Petrie out in the afternoon. The Iresults are as follows: — Open Championship. Second round: Mrs. Banks beat Mrs. Wilson, 3 and 1; Mrs. Birch beat Mrs. Blain, 1 up; Miss Lowes beat Mrs. Stout, 2 and 1; Miss G. Upham beat Miss Petrie, 3 and 2. • Miramar Handicap. Second round: Mrs. Dalgleish beat Mrs. Cromb, 3 and' 1; Miss Ward, beat Miss Matthews, 2 and 1; Mrs. Rota beat Mrs. Slater,' 1 up; 'Mrs. Farr beat Mrs. Stirling, 3 and ,2. First Bogey Handicap.
