A TOPIC FOR ALL

(To the Editor!) j S uv _[ have often read in ''The Tost" a part which I consider affords splendid enlightenment. I refer to "The Scheme of Things" headed "Topics for Women." Being a man, it is natural that I should scan things generally and in "The Scheme of Things" the one outstanding thing I thought splendid wa3 on tho subject of our manners. What a fine part manners play in human life! Now, a lot has to be done still to show tho # ypung and many grown-ups; so that happiness can bo universal. Good manners will bring happiness to most of us if we do unto others what we expect of them. Manners como first, for suppose a rich person was offering money to any deserviug case; what a difference it would make to the reoipient to say in a kindly manner: "In giving you help I am glad to assist you." Good manners.' und kind words work wonders of gladness. In our trams and trains, and buses how delightful to sec the young .vising to give a seat to an elder. What good home life and example the pnyents have given and shown in their ' daily life. , All should do their best to brighten th« lives of others by kind words. We cannot be angels in this world upon earth, but kind words and deeds auut ut for the after life. It is no use whatever being in a terrible mood, cursing, blaming others, giving over to sadness and gloom; think right, speak, right, do. right; and then watch, your health, wealth, and longevity. —I am, etc., > ' . KIND THOUGHTS. '
