A. meeting of residents arranged bj) the Waiwhetu School Committee Ira* held last evening to say farewell to Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Wilson, who are leaving for Wanganui. Mr. Wilson1,, who ha» been headmaster of Waiwhetu SchodJ, •was presented by Mr. Pegler, chairman of the School Committee, on behalf of the residents, with ad attache c*ie, and Mrs. Wilson with a' set of crystal ware. Other speakers were. Messrs. A. M'Bain, W. V. Dyer, arid May. Mr, Wilson suitably ' responded. $fir». W Joyce, who has taken an/.active jjart for many years in the social activities of the' district, and has also been an. energetic member of the School i Committee, was also presented with a se< of crystal ware. Mrs. Joyce harleff ' the district and now resides in TrinitJ} avenue. . '
